Stormwater Tank for Witton Country Park

Witten Country Park

Park Royal commenced removal of 15,000 tonnes of clay from a 20m deep shaft for Client V.J. Donegan and Co.Ltd.  The sub-contract works are undertaken as part of United Utilities investment in improving Blackburn’s sewer systems and capacity to hold more rainfall during heavy storms and reduce the risks of sewage spilling into local river network.

Park Royal have purchased their first Doosan Excavator in over a decade.  We decided to test them at their word – and the 35 tonne DX-340 Excavator offers great value and has impressed with it’s power and performance capabilities so far.

Park Royal donate Rockery stone

“Welcome” Rockery for Hyndburn Council

Entering Altham along the A679 Burnley Road you will see an attractive “Welcome” amenity area on the lefthand side of the road. Hyndburn Borough Council asked if we would donate some rockery stone to enhance the appearance of this area. We had been able to help previously in October 2011, donating Stone for use in The Hollows play area on Bolton Avenue nearby.

Commercial Manager, CJ McManus said “We are glad to be able give something back to our neighbours, especially as we have such a visually recognisable presence in the local community”. 

PRH join GM Chamber of Commerce

January saw us join Greater Manchester’s Chamber of Commerce. Nicola Robinson, MD said “It made sense for us to join the local Chamber of Commerce given the range of business support services they offer, training and development solutions, potential supplier savings, information, advice and networking opportunities.”

PRH sells plant to Holland

At Park Royal we have always had a great reputation for taking good care of and maintaining our plant and equipment and we’ve seen our plant sold all around the world.  We have kicked off the New Year with sales of two CAT CS563E Rollers to a Client in Holland.  We hope they will serve their new owners as well as they have us.

Park Royal wins contract to supply local windfarm

PRG Wind Farm Project

Aggregate supplies to Galliford Try’s project on Oswaldtwistle Moor are scheduled for January 2012. Our materials will initially be used for the construction of the site roads and machine hardstandings and will later include materials for the wind turbine foundations.
