Extending our fleet of articulated dumptrucks

Caterpillar 725 Articulated Dumptruck

We have continued to add to our plant fleet with the arrival of four brand new Caterpillar 725 Articulated Dumptrucks.

Operations Manager Jimi McNutt said “The continued renewal of plant means that we are able to offer the most reliable service to our customers. Newer machines have fewer issues meaning less downtime and more efficiency”

Putting on our Running Shoes for Charity

Running for charity

In the last month both Debbie Skrypczuk and CJ McManus have raised funds for charity by taking part in The Race for Life and The Great Manchester Run respectively.

The Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s flagship event and is the largest women only fundraising event in the UK.

This year CJ raised funds for The Lighthouse Clubwhich is a benevolent fund for the family members of people injured while working in the construction industry.

Park Royal are now Constructionline Accredited

We are delighted to announce Park Royal have achieved accreditation this month with the UK's largest Government-owned register of contractors and consultants for the construction industry — Constructionline.

Over 8,000 key decision makers from over 2,000 buying organisations use Constructionline to select quality suppliers so this is an essential new platform and tool with which to promote our services and hopefully gain new work opportunities.

Congratulations to Little Holcombe Preschooler Lucy Brown. Her picture was judged to be the best by nursery teacher Judith Banwell.

Well done Lucy, we all think its lovely!

Nursery V.I.P.s

Little Holcombe Nursery pre-schoolers

PRH played host to Bury based Little Holcombe Nursery pre-schoolers this week. The three and four year olds were given a plant demonstration that included and Excavator, Tipper Wagon, Road Sweeper and Access Platform. All the children had their photo’s taken in the Wagon and went home with colouring packs.

The Nursery is to choose a winner for our colouring competition and the winner’s picture will feature on our news page shortly. Look for the story in the Bury Times who covered the event.

New CATs For PRH

Caterpillar E320 Excavator

As the New Year kicked off Park Royal Haulage took delivery of two brand new Caterpillar E320 excavators. These machines are the first arrivals of a package of nine brand new Caterpillar pieces of Plant that Park Royal will be taking across the year.

MD Nicola Robinson stated “This deal demonstrates our continuing commitment to renewing our fleet. There are many good manufacturers in the market but the package offered through Finning and Caterpillar made them the best choice for us.”

Supporting the Multiple Scleroris Society

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas with A Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.

As we have done in more recent years we are not sending Company Christmas Cards this year and will instead be making a £200 donation to charity.  This year’s chosen charity is the MS Society.

Park Royal Haulage (PRH) are proud supporters of the Construction Industry’s benevolent fund and charity The Lighthouse Club and sponsored the NW branch Christmas Ball.  We donated gifts to the charity auction that raised £450 on the night.

MD Nicola Robinson challenged the workforce to go hairy in support of the Movember movement this month.  “Movember raises awareness of men’s health issues, and our industry is generally male dominated so we thought it would be good fun to take part in this and help raise funds for Prostate and Testicular charities”.

Bright Ideas

National Road Safety Week

PRH were delighted to get involved with supporting St Nicholas’ Primary School in Accrington this month donating 200 Movo-Bright’s and Road safety Leaflets to the students as part of National Road Safety Week.  We sent one of our Tipper’s along for the children to see up close, joining efforts of the local police and fire-brigade to educate the students on road dangers and the importance of “Being Seen”.


Christy McManus

This month marks the first anniversary of founder, Chris McManus’s death.

Daughter and MD, Nicola Robinson said “It has been an incredibly difficult year for us all emotionally, but my sincere thanks go out to all the people working around me.  I’m sure Christy would be proud that we’ve carried on his work”
