The History of Park Royal

Our name, Park Royal came from the area of London where the company’s founder Christy McManus lived when he bought his first HGV in 1966. Some 19 years later in 1985, Park Royal Haulage Ltd was created with a fleet of HGVs and crushing and screening plant.

The company has expanded in response to the increasing demand for crushed aggregates and though still relatively small businesses in industries dominated by national operators, we have grown into one of the North West’s leading suppliers of Aggregates.

In addition to a capacity to produce 2000 tonnes of aggregates per day, Park Royal Haulage Ltd diversified and grew its dedicated fleet of tippers making deliveries to our Customers more reliable. We expanded into additional Plant Hire and began providing an extensive selection of Excavators, Loading Shovels, Rollers, Crushers, Screeners and Operated Wagons that can all be hired.

Park Royal Developments (NW) Ltd was born in 2007 when several select sites were purchased for development and our first properties were completed in 2009. We are due to break ground on our third site soon.

Our Founder

Founder of Park Royal, Christy McManusIt is with deep sadness that we announced the death of our founder and then Managing Director Christy McManus on 25th October 2011.

A self-made business man, his passing was marked by the closure of the business on the day of his funeral. He is fondly remembered by his employees and missed tremendously by his family, most of whom worked along-side him for many years.

He loved his business and his family will continue his work.
